Harrisburg PA RV show

First show of the year for us at the farm show complex in Harrisburg this weekend. Very excited! Anyone else heading there? We are definitely ready to get the season going!

No but I'm in York this weekend. Maybe I'll disappear when my wife isn't looking and run up there!

We plan on going, not sure which day yet.

We went last year and it was only one dealer there but it was a free event. Considering you have pay this year hopefully there will be other dealers.

I'm not planning on going but I did check the website and it looks like there are a lot of seminars being offered each day.

Have you ever tried the one in york in March? That's our normal one but we'd thought we'd try this one too this year.

From the looks of the website it looks to be better this year. Certainly hope so!

Given the show organizer, if you're a Good Sam member take your card and get discounted admission.

We've never been. I actually didn't get into RVing until after I moved away.

We were there two years ago, that was the show that convinced my wife to buy a camper and a month later we made history buying our 23lb.

It's a nice show, if I remember right it's in two buildings within walking distance apart but they do run buses. Some campers are outside as well. It's about a 90 minute drive for us.

We've gone to the York show many times as its 10 mins away. Lots of campers. Just as described above, lots if campers, few accessories. Bunch of campgrounds.

I go to the Hershey show, far larger, more accessories.

We want to go to the Harrisburg show but don't know when we'll fit it into our schedule. Today and tomorrow district swim meet. Sunday, well my kids have plans.

So, if we're not really looking to buy a camper, but are interested in accessories, should we make a concerted effort to go?

Probably not. We've never been to the Harrisburg show so we'll see what we think. We will still go to york because we like that one. It's always fun to look at what's new in rvs plus we like to check out new campgrounds and talk to the folks that run them. One of these years we hope to make it to the hershey show but it seems to be a bad time of the year for us.

We plan on going. Has anyone seen a website that shows which dealers, campgrounds, etc. will be there. I can't find anything.

We went yesterday and were dissapointed.. $8.00 to park, $10.00 each to get in..

Saw everything there was to see in about an hour...

Walked around for a little to feel like we got our money's worth...

Was there more than one dealer?

Wow and they are charging to park too? It was free last year.

If this is the same show that was there last year it is just one dealer. Since it is a Good Sam event I only know of one dealer in the immediate area associated with Good Sam. They are Grumbine's RV. I believe they were the only dealer last year. I do not like that dealership. Before my wife and I bought our first camper we went to Grumbine's after show lot (All the trade-ins and left overs from the Hershey RV show). They did not really want to deal with us when they found out we could only tow a 2200 lb trailer. They kind of blew us off after that. THe only part I like about the dealership is that they just built a Camping World retail facility at their location.

I tried calling Grumbines last year for tire prices and the phone just rang and rang.
