Kidde is recalling millions. Better check yours. The one that came in my Wildcat is one of the bad ones.

If you have the FF210D-1. Select the push button marine option ( third selection) to find the model in the drop down.

Based on the response after you complete the recall form, they will be sending out 40M extinguishers. there goes the quarterly profits.

Their estimate is that they'll ship in 15-20 business days. This is going to be hell for fulltime RVers that move around quickly.

Wow, thank you for posting this. One FF-210D-1 replacement is on the way. I wonder what the "equivalent replacement" will be as they said the exact replacement is not available?

I wonder how other RV owners are being informed/contacted for this recall, who don't frequent forums online, etc.?

Would Forest River (original purchaser) or the purchasing dealer be responsible for notification?

No idea- I shared it on my Learn to RV Facebook page- but the same issue there; it's a limited audience.

The recall was one of the stories on the national news. I know not everyone watches but that will get the word to quite a few people.

All 3 of my house units are effected. They are sending me new ones.
I could not locate the date codes on my units, I guess they were that old. (1987, 1991, and 1993)
I called 1-800-880-6788 and they registered them over the phone for the recall.
I need to check the RV next time I go to the campground.

When I submitted my information it was stated that the replacement may, or may not, fit in the same exact holder / previously hung area, and may have to be re-routed. We may possibly be getting larger units since these were noted as Watercraft FE's. Bigger replacements, that would be a plus!

We heard this information on the evening news. You can pretty well bet it will be plastered all over the Social Medias, FB, etc. And, of course, word of mouth... utilizing good ole "MA BELL".

I had a fire in my last trailer, totally my fault. I was able to quickly put it out with my fire extinguisher. I replaced the extinguisher for $20.00. When we purchased this trailer the first thing I replaced was the fire extinguisher, $20.00 again. My rule is to replace it every two years. Industry recommends five years but these are slow selling products and you cannot be certain of manufacture date. Why take a chance? By the way my new extinguisher is under the recall.

Going to have to look at mine when I get home but I know I have 2-10 pound units that are Kidde's.
So if you get new ones what do you do with the old ones? I am sure Kidde does not want them.
