My bolt broke on about the 5th or 6th use of the camper. It was fixed under warranty but that was last summer.

Local dealer said power steps on ALL units are probably THEE #1 most common failure/repair/replacement item! They get alot of use, abuse & are exposed to all road & nature's elements. Keep 'em clean, lubed & don't step on it until fully extended & stationary. Mine makes a distinct "click" sound when down & ready!

I haven't had any problems with mine but I dropped the RV off at the dealer this morning to have the step recall worked on. I guess if I had to go back to the dealer for something this is fine.

steps 100% failed

My steps completely failed two weeks ago. I called Lippert and they will give a $200 credit if you upgrade to the Kwikee steps but you have to go through a dealer. I found the steps for $407 with free shipping on Amazon but the dealer wanted over $540 plus shipping. I guess my coach will go in for repair. To be honest with all the damage to the parts on mine I think it would be cost effective for Lippert to offer a replacement and let me do the install.
Anyway I have an appointment this Friday, I hope the parts can be ordered and get me back on the road ASAP.
Very disappointed in Lippert and the customer service.

Used heavy duty zip ties, works great, except the long step up, and down.
