Neat Site: Wanna be Ham Operators and Emergency Services

Came across this web site today:

http://emergency-radio.org/index.html

The site has a lot of great video featuring ham radio operators in the after math of Huricane Katrina and a lot of information to get any interested party pointed in the right direction to get licensed and equiped for Ham Radio in general and emergency service in particular.

All you need for a mobile emergency communications center is a decent RV, a few radios and a couple of licenced volunteers.

Having witnessed 9-11-01, Katrina, the tsunami and Califonia wildfires the need becomes evident.

Not to mention the downright fun you can have operating portable in an RV!

Enjoy
