Round #2-2010 Snow Fall 2-10-10 Current Pic
Yes here it is again on top of 22".
What you are looking at is snow that has collected on the roofs as of 4:30pm yesterday, these pic where taken about 10 mins ago. The wind is now picking up and snowing hard......Where am I going with all this stuff? I am running out of energy.

Hey Rockwood 06
Have you ever worried about the snow on the roof of the RV?? I just posted one about our RV. How much snow load will these babies take? I am in south Jersey south of Philly about 30 miles and yes we are getting round number two, this realy is a tough winter so far. Where are you?

your going to have a soupy yard when it or if it ever thaws.
stay warm. build snowmen or snowwomen or a whole snow family
thanks for the pictures, it does look really nice and picturesque
sort of envious

It does look really nice but it really has become a pain. I work in the HVAC field and we're actually shut down until at least Friday because we can't get to the homes where people with no heat, other than some small heaters we provide at time of sale, are located. One of our top installers slipped at a vendor's loading dock and broke his ankle in two places, requiring surgery, and will be out 6 months at least if all goes well. I'm sure our electric bill will be unbelieveable since we're running on emergency heat. Heat Pumps are useless under 20 degrees and just run continuously. As for the thawing out, at this rate it will be quite some time before we see the grass again but it will create flooding since the ground was already saturated but currently frozen.

I don't know what the weight rating is on the RV but I am not worried, if you look at the roof you will notice that the roof has a crown in the middle and then tapers to the side walls, the strongest point of the roof is at the crown and with taper, this will allow any thing on the roof to shift to the out edge and then fall to the ground. Frankly, I am more worried about the roof on my house at this time.
My location is Westminster Md.

cfsoistman, I agree this is becomming a real pain, I see they are calling for another storm Sunday into Monday, if this holds up we will have three storms 4 days apart.
I am an HVAC Mechanic as well so I know where you are comming from. Here is a pic of one of two of my Heatpumps, this one is on emergency heat because I can not get to it at this time.
Remember, if you have a heatpump and It fails switch it over to emergency heat. It may cost you a little more but this will save money for a tech to come out in this weather, some time emergency calls can double in price in this kind of weather and some part houses are not open.
Now if you have gas heat and you have a 90+ or a 98+ furnace, there are two PVC pipes connected to your furnace and the both are ran to the out side of your house, one is an intake for fresh air for combustion and the other is for exhaust, make sure they are not block by snow or anything else, if they are there will be a good chance your furnace will stop working.

Same here only different curtains. I'm getting ready to go out and start digging out again.
By the way that is an above ground pool.

Things have gotten desperate around here, and we are getting way behind in the snow totals that Md. are getting.....we have only had 57" for the season.

Glad I could make you laugh after what all you have been through. We only got 3" out of the major storm that y'all just got. BTW, I took a photo of my heat pumps to post on here to show them snow covered, but I was ashamed to post it after your photo.

I'll let you guys fight over the most snow. We only have had 32" so I'm out of the running, and hope to stay that way.

Hokiehall, We have about 46" on the ground as of yesterday here in Westminster Md. Today I spent 9.5 hours digging out and I am pooped out.
I know I have posted a lot of pic, but you all need to see what it looks like now after all of the digging. I will take some pic tomorrow and post them. If we get another 20" incher before this mess melts I am going to leave it for spring because I have no where to put it.

I can't imagine what it's like living where you get that much snow. I remember about 17 years ago when we got 13" and everything shut down for almost 3 days.
Keep digging mntguy & rockwood06. You want to make sure you guys can get those campers out and on the road as soon as possible.
powerboatr, I heard Dallas had a record snowfall today. Didn't hear how much.

mtnguy is doing OK here......it is Rockwood06 that got hit this last time. We got 18" with the 2/6 storm, and only 3" with the 2/10 snow fall, with about 6" still on the ground when that 2/6 storm hit. Compared to rockwoood06, it has been springtime around here.

By the way cfsoistman and I both live in the same County but different towns and share the same snowfall. We are about 30 mins or so from each other.
