JDAM... is that a Forest River product... made by Concertone, maybe?
Seriously though, it's hard to look at a calendar without those images coming back, isn't it.

Ummm its not that I disagree Kim, and on this date it is understandable, but do you suppose decent americans or Canadians of arab descent might own RVs?

I don't recall him saying anything bad about decent Arabs. Since Canada basically allows anyone in, I am sure you have met a few.

... including thousands of stranded american air travellers 6 years ago today, I'm sure you intended to say.

If I wanted to say that I would have, but since I have a bit of time in both AOR's during wartime and the ME during peacetime I'll just let this conversataion go, because my opinion is not worth hearing about who is and who isn't decent.

Letting the conversation go is a good idea, I agree. Besides, good neighbours and allies shouldn't be dissing each other today.

The top sources of US crude oil imports for June were Canada (1.873 million barrels per day), Saudi Arabia (1.501 million barrels per day), Mexico (1.392 million barrels per day), Venezuela (1.135 million barrels per day), Nigeria (0.893 million barrels per day). http://www.eia.doe.gov/pub/oil_gas/p...nt/import.html
Wow, so much from the frigid north is surprising huh! Even more than those oh-so-neighbourly Saudis. And pretty much nil terrorist sponsorship and illegal immigrants to boot. (at least no fence up yet between Maine and New Brunswick, so I assume the illegals problem is not so much.)
But better be nice, cause China would LOVE an extra 1.873 million barrels per day!! They need it for lead paint production for Mattel. LOL

We are the 3rd largest oil producing country in the world and actually export most of our oil to China and Japan. It's called economics. Fortunately for you, you actually have exports thanks to NAFTA, otherwise, what would you fund your nationalized subpar healthcare system with? Wasn't it you who had an issue with Kim calling them Ragheads? But now all of a sudden everyone from Saudi Arabia is a terrorist? Got Hypocrisy? Nahhhhhhh Never from the left.

Listen, this site is populated by a lot of good people on both sides of the border. We don't disparage each other's country because we know that we are all proud of where we live and the flags we fly. I'm done getting drawn into this pissing match.
But just to straighten you out a little on your claim:
Top World Oil Net Importers, 2006
Rank Country Net Imports
1 United States 12,220,000 barrels per day
http://www.eia.doe.gov/emeu/cabs/topworldtables1_2.htm
That ain't economics.
Like I said, I'm done.
Lock away, Kim. Sorry to be involved. And Greg, sorry your thoughtful thread got pulled in such a negative direction.

I believe it got pulled that way when someone decided to tell Kim he couldn't state his heartfelt opinion.
