I think the other problem is the 30 mph winds. It will be interesting.

Most definitely, I just hope to get home before the worst of it starts [meaning the invincible people with 4 WD that start driving with their heads up their rear ends] they can go as fast as they like but they're not going to be able to stop any quicker. The majority of times I been in back-ups has been because of one of these geniuses running off the road out of control. Once I'm home I'll deal with the snow as needed. Just hope the power doesn't go off. We can go out in the motorhome but I don't think I could keep the satelite dish-dome clear.
ATTENTION!!! SPRINGTIME - We're ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am lucky, today is my Friday so I will not have to deal with people that think they are invincible. Please be carfull on your way home tomorrow and that go's for every one that has to travel in Fridays rush hour.
I am in Chantilly VA at work and we are preparing for this storm, I think we have everything in place to deal with this mess.

Our latest forecast is for 16 to 24" starting early tomorrow morning. 12 hours before the 2 footer we got in December, they were calling for 8 to 12". This may get interesting.

Well, Crapola. I just looked at the latest forecast, and now the predicted total is 20 to 28".
Statement as of 2:10 PM EST on February 04, 2010
... Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 6 am Friday to
10 PM EST Saturday...
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 6 am Friday to
10 PM EST Saturday.
* Precipitation type... heavy snow.
* Accumulations... storm total accumulations of 20 to 28 inches.
* Timing... snow will begin around daybreak Friday... and will
continue through Saturday evening. Conditions will deteriorate
rapidly by early Friday afternoon... with heaviest snowfall
occurring from late Friday afternoon through sunrise Saturday.
* Visibilities... heavy snow will reduce visibilities to below one-
quarter mile at times Friday night and Saturday morning.
* Temperatures... highs around 30 Friday. Temperatures will be in
the mid to upper 20s Friday night and Saturday.
* Winds... becoming northeast 10 to 15 mph Friday with gusts to
25 mph Friday night and Saturday.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Conditions in this storm are expected to be comparable to those
in the storm of 19 December. Plan for substantial disruptions to
travel Friday afternoon through the weekend.
A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow are
expected or occurring. Strong winds are also possible. This will
make travel very hazardous or nearly impossible Friday night.

Right with you Bill, we're ready with everything. DW went to the store yesterday morning. 3 hours just picking up necessities. I've heard so many different predictions and they seem to change by the hour.
Kim, thanks for the great pictures. It nice to see something other than snow. Be careful everyone that's dealing with this storm.
