Storage door problem

Just purchased a new 2019 Cedar. Creek Hathaway and noticed while loading that the bracket that wholes the dapper to keep door open was about to fall off because the screws had become loose. Tried to tighten them but they will not tighten and hold. I know this is a possible warranty item but hate to carry back to dealer for something as simple as this. Anyone have any ideas on how to repair this properly?

Yes I have seen a kit that camping world sells that appears to have a metal piece that lays between door material and bracket but wasn’t sure if it was heavy duty enough. Does the door itself not have a metal piece running along the inner edge of the door?

Had the same problem, ended up unhooking one of the shocks, and used larger screws.

This stopped the screws from loosing, and one shock is more than enough to hold up the hatch , although the hatch seals better on one side .

I have seen larger plates put on, then the hinge attached to that. I did not take measurements but looked like 21/2 x 4 plate.
