even though the Trail Vision is not a Forest River product, all hybrids are pretty similar.
i will say that the R-Vision hybrids were the lightest hybrids made but that came at a price.
i found them to have cheaper but lighter materials. i also felt that the quality was lower tier, compared to Roo/Shamrock, Jayco and Starcraft.
DON'T get a hybrid if you aren't in love with sleeping under canvas.
most hybrid owners are former popup owners that love the canvas ends but want more amenities.
they're more than willing to put up with the few negatives of the canvas ends, to keep the "camping" feel that you get with hybrids.
many of us don't like the "shoebox" feel of traditional travel trailers.
hybrids will require more maintenance because of the big holes in the sides.
many have bought hybrids because of all the sleeping capacity, in a shorter package. but they never took the canvas into consideration.
after one or two years, they get rid of them because they found that they didn't like dealing with them.
have you ever owned a popup?
what will you be towing with?
by the way, they aren't "expandables", they are called bunk ends.
if they were expandables, then popups would also be called expandables.
