Arrival/Departure Checklists

Hello!

As I plan for our first trip Mothers Day weekend, I've been reviewing my owners manual (nearly useless) as well as searching various topics on this (and other) forums. I'm finding myself getting a little nervous that I am going to forget some crucial element and do damage to my camper

I know several of you recommend creating a checklist or two of all the "steps" to take when you arrive at a campsite and when you leave.

If someone has such a list, would you please be so kind as to share it? I know in time I'll likely develop my own methods and routines but I would like to start out with a good foundation and cannot think of a better place to start then with this group of people.

Kindly,
Steph

If you have an Ipad or Iphone there is a terrific app just for you. There are also apps for Android devices that are just as good. Might look for them if you have one of the devices. Also do a web search for RV check lists and see what pops up.

I bet someone will be able to share their list with you. In the meantime start with picturing your arrival at camp and thinking what will need to be done. Write it down as it comes to you. Later you can shift the order of tasks. Post your list here for others to review and add to.

ipad app

i use the rv check app in the ipad, it's really great. it comes with some lists already and you can just add your own items (or remove if it doesn't apply to your unit). the cool thing is that it comes with different lists like: arrive at site, depart from site, prepare for extended trip (reminding you to do things like suspend the newspaper delivery, etc), prepare for regular trip...i think they have one for the iphone too...

Steph,
I also think its a good idea to make your own as you suggested. Seems to work better for me than using someone else's. Having said that, I attached the two I made for myself last year. I've been meaning to update them and make it simpler but time got away from me.

I think I may try that iPad app though (because I just bought an iPad this weekend).
