CreekFire Motor Ranch outside of Savannah has cruisers for rent to ride around the campground.

Must be an east coast/mid west thing. We've been in a lot of them with bike rentals. Not GREAT bikes, but bikes.

I can think if three that rent bikes here in the Midwest off the top of my head. They are not everywhere but are around; otherwise most bike shops rent and pretty much everywhere has a bike shop at least somewhat close.

I recently saw a thread on this topic where a poster mounted front fork mounts to the wooden seats (removing the cushions of course) of his dinette. My wife and I thought that that was such a great idea that we are converting our 5er from a table/4 chairs to a dinette. There is an extra bonus of extra storage under the seats. When used as a dinette, just flip the wooden seat top over.

Yep. I saw that method as well. A good option. Personally, I don't like leaving my bike outside. Especially since I paid $4K for it.

REALLY Most of the ohio state parks have them and several private parks also even rent golf carts by the day

I've never seen them at a State/Provincial park, but then again, I haven't done the Ohio ones yet. I do however see them at every KOA and Jellystone we've been to, as well as about 1/2 the other private campgrounds we've been to.

Totally agree. My bike is clean, oiled, and adjusted. I'm way too fussy about it to transport it "outside".

I agree, our campgrounds seldom even have a host, you just stick money in a box. Yellowstone park has the fanciest campgrounds I ever go to and they mostly drive me nuts with their size and rules. My favorite spots aren't at a campground at all, just a pull off of a old logging road next to a meadow. If somebody else is already there drive another 1/2 mile at least and find another spot. I dont want to see or even hear another camper. I wish the forest service would actually develop the spots like this instead of clustering a bunch of spots into a "campground".

all around the city of Cleveland and even down in the flats of Cleveland from the restaurants district to the museum area to the businesses, UH and Cleveland clinic area you can rent a bike and drop off in another area all year long, seems like the left coast and other areas need to step up. Ohio is full of bike paths , many old railroad beds turned into bike paths and many stops along the way you can rent a bike

I agree with that point of view. I suppose part of the issue is the availability of pit toilets and a hand water pump at campgrounds.

Nice setup. I'm not familiar with the attachments. Brand, Name would be helpful.

This is the rack I used on top of my popup camper. I cut it done to fit in my truck bed. It’s basically 2x6s with bike fork mounts screwed into the top. I also screwed in eye bolts on the sides and I bracketed those to the trucks ring supports.

They are known as bicycle fork blocks/mounts.

The fork mounts really hold the bike pretty tight but I still run a ratchet strap through the bike frames. I probably don’t need it but it’s just nice to have. With he bike fork mounts I don’t see how the bikes could fall over.
