Bunk door seals sticking

Our 2013 Roo 183 bunk doors are getting harder and harder to open because of the seals sticking to the door. I keep them treated with a silicon based product but they still stick. It may be my imagination but it seems like the more I treat them the stickier they get. DW now has to push the bunks open from the inside while I pull from the outside. Once we break a corner loose then they pop open. Not sure if it is because of the seal actually sticking to the door or if there is a suction created between the seal and the door by virtue of the way the seal is shaped. A very small amount of rubber is now occasionally being left on the door. It may be time to replace the seals. Anyone else experience this?

Most use Aerospace 303, for seals.

I had the same problem this spring. The folks on this forum suggested the seals on my 2016 183 were dirty. I didn't think so but wiped them down with a clean damp rag, they seem o.k. since. My guess is that no residue or anything should be left on the seals.

Not sure if this is being done, but opening the side door or a fan can help 'unseal' the unit. That may help ease them down.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've wiped them down with a damp cloth and bought some 303 so we'll see how it goes.

I've thought about that but was a little afraid it might compromise the seal in some way.

I always wipe the sealing edge of the bunk door with a damp rag and some type of cleaner like Awesome before closing each and every time I camp and have had no problem. Tree sap can be a problem collecting on this bunk edge, then melting and sticking to the seals in the sun.

303 Protectant on the actual seals, with a wipe on the bunk door edges at least once per year.

I have a 2018 Shamrock 19. My front bunk wouldn't open this past weekend because the front end seals were sticking too. When I was finally able to get the bunk end open I could see some of the seal was left on the bunk door edging. I keep my camper clean and there was no pollen, sap, soda, etc or anything of the sort on the seals or the bunk end lip. I think it is just a problem with the seal material itself. Pics attached.

I am sorry you've had the problem too. I have a call and email into FR and waiting for a response.

That's what mine is doing but not that bad. I also keep mine clean and treated. I ordered 50' of the seal and am eventually going to replace all of it. When our Roo was new the seals were very poorly installed. We took it back to the dealer and they replaced them all under warranty. Have you called your dealer about it?
