Bunk Fan/Light Brackets Suck

My wife and I both broke a bracket off of a fan/light combo this weekend. Tried to easily remove them from the overhead bar and they just snapped off. I see where I can buy replacement brackets on the interwebz but are they all garbage? Is there a better mousetrap?

Where can I get replacements? I agree they are crappy but almost all of mine are broken.

A google search for bunk fan light bracket yielded multiple results. Here is one.

In some thread here, I saw some metal brackets that someone used.

We had our bunk fan/light combos for 10 years, with no broken brackets.
When we sold to our Roo, the fan/light combos still worked like they were new.

Maybe they’re just cheap plastic now, who knows. I’d love to find metal brackets though.

These are metal. I had to use washers or else the screw heads would be too small.
