Champion Generator anyone
Anyone have this generator? Or simular, because I know a few places sell the same one, just slightly different. Looking to upgrade our 1700w one that is just a little too small. Just wondering how you like it.

There have been numerous reviews recently, on FRF.
All have been positive.
If I needed a bigger generator, it would be my no-brainer first choice.

+1 to what Bikendan said above. In fact, I bought that very one last year based on his advice. It's worked great, starts on the first pull and we've had no trouble running the air conditioning in the camper.
You will have to manage your load more carefully than if you were plugged in to a 30amp circuit, but with a reasonable load we've been able to live quite comfortably off the grid. Highly recommended.

Got one and love it. The only difference is mine has an electric start with wireless.

I just bought a Champion 3400w (model 100233) last week. Purrs like a kitten and powers my 15k A/C perfectly.

Bought the same exact one a few month back, tested at home and 3 trips and have no complaints and very happy with it.

I looked at the one at Costco, much bigger in person. It's 699, but thinking I could get 500 more watts on the one from home Depot for about 50 bucks more next time I get a 10%off coupon.

I have the same one and really like it. I can run my 15K A/C and the TV with it. I have to switch the fridge to propane though or it's too much draw with the A/C.

In testing ours at home, I had it running both fridges warm and just turned on (ones a outside dorm 120 only) TV, several lights, fans on high, and then turned on the A/C. carried it all without hitting max rpm. Granted I installed a hard start capacitor.
The WH on electric alone will make it run as hard....

Ended up buying the 3100w model with the wireless remote. Going to test it in the camper tomorrow.

Bringing up this old post to check on the realiability/longevity of the Champion 3100/3400 generators. Picking up my first trailer in 2 weeks and was considering the 3400.

We have a Champion 3100 and not only does it work flawlessly but it's also very quiet. You can easily have a conversation at normal level directly next to it while it's running.

Thanks for the reply. How long have you had yours? I'm checking to see how the longevity is with these Champion gens.

I like that, I'm stingy myself.

I understood just had to re-read the post. Somewhere in my mind I only read the second question about longevity.
Edit:
That was my knee jerk. They make good gennys.

However this thread plays, lets not have another 'best generator' thread. I'm sick of them and I'm low on microwave buttered popcorn anyway.
