First Night with my PUGs

Just say wow! Had a roof vent open but no fan. Absolutely no condensation with temps near freezing. A lot darker in the pre 6am sunrise. Temperature maintained with a little electric heater. Well worth the investment!

ChooChooMan,
Have you done the Reflectix mod to the tent end window screen areas yet?

I did this mod on our previous popup and hybrid and it helps keep warm/cool air in. Reflectix is bubble wrap with aluminum foil like covering on both sides. It's sold in rolls and comes in different sizes. You can find it at just about any home improvement center. Home Depot link:Search Results for┬*reflictix┬*at The Home Depot Measure the max height and of a tent end window and total length of all windows so you can determine what size you need. I made a butcher paper template for each window and traced it on the Reflectix before cutting it with an old scissors. I also wrapped the edges with clear packing tape so it wouldn't tear the screening. You can store them under the mattress when not in use. Some people even put a layer under the mattress to help insulate it too. Here's a pic of them installed in our previous hybrid.

Not the best pic so I did a search and found a better one pic for ya. Personally I'd make sure they didn't have any folds in them so they fit better.

Wiscampsin, have you noticed any of the silver material rubbing or flaking off? There were a couple of older posts on other forums that mentions it, but I could not find any real data that indicates that it flakes or rubs off. Thinking about putting a layer under the pugs when it gets cold for additional insulation. Wouldn't do it though if it rubs off onto the outside vinyl of the bunk ends. Thanks!

Are you supposed to always keep the silver side up even in hot weather?

After using the space blankets and Reflectix on our popup for 4 years and retrofit to use on our hybrid for 3 years I never had a problem with flaking off.
Don't know about putting any under your Rugs as the aluminum could cause a stain of sorts on the white tops of the tent ends.

Our space blankets had a silver side and a blue side. They weren't official Pugs. We always kept the silver side up in the hot summer to reflect the heat up, silver side down in the cooler spring/fall when using the furnace to help reflect/keep the heat in.

I just got the generic solar blankets and put them on one end. I'm going to put the industrial velcro strip across the top of the tent end and may just leave it on permenantly. Anyone else do that?
