Going to buy a solaire190x tomorrow

I have a 256 hw pop-up tomorrow i am going to trade it in and buy 190x solaire. I am sick of having to crank up the camper to get stuff in and out and not so much to set up. I did like my pop-up until i had some problems with the lift system this year So i decided to buy a hybrid.

That hybrid about twice as heavy as your popup (dry weight's ~4600lbs, GVWR=7620lbs), plus you'll now have a large sail to pull through the air. You don't say what you're towing with, but I hope your tow vehicle is up to the task. You're over the towing capacity of my Silverado.

Yeah. Pop ups are nice to tow. They sit within your TV slipstream.

TT's are a whole lot bigger.

i only have a dakota it is a little over the the limit but i do not go far and have only maybe 2 trips left this year next year i am going to a ram 1500 or tacoma

With a dry weight of 4600, you really should look at 1500series. The Tacoma won't be the best choice.

Had a Tacoma. Great little truck but traded for a RAM 1500 when I got my Roo . Check the specs. Tacoma is a little light on towing, A Tundra would do it but doesn't come with factory trailer brake . The 8 SPd tranny on the RAM gets me real close to the mpg I was getting with the much smaller Tacoma and I have the big hemi 5.7 gasser

Got my new 2015 solaire 190x today my truck was pulling it ok but i won't doing any drag races with it. I can it up to 55 no problem but higher then that i can almost watch the gas needdle move down and for sure i wont be crossing the rocky mountains with it

I just completed my first week camping with new camper i loved it. But i will have to change my tv the dakota was just not able to take the mountains of the Adirondaks my speed would really drop going up the hills i would go from 55 right down to 40. So i will need to get a new truck for the spring.

So it has been decided that the before the new 2015 camping season. There will be a purchase of a new dodge ram 1500 quad cab 4x4 with 3l ecodiesel. It has huge power and unbelievable fuel economy. I spoke to 2 or 3 people that have one and they all say the same 9 liters to 100km mix driving 26 miles per gallon it is better than my jeep compass.

Get got our 2015 Roo 233s last week. Love it so far. I too got tired of popping it up and down all the time.

Bluert Slow down a bit. All gas trucks are hurting in the mountains.


Look carefully at the Eco diesel's available payload ratings. I saw one quad cab outdoorsman loaded up with options and 400lbs payload.
