Here is an update. Due to work (Jobs go out to bid weekly, and get awarded by seniority, so sometimes, there are surprises), I had to reschedule to pick up the Roo 183 on Friday, 4/17. On Thursday, the dealer called and asked if the Credit Union mailed me the check. I told him no, and he said no check, no pickup. I got in touch with the CU and they were still waiting on one form. The dealer swore they faxed it and they refaxed it. So the check was mailed Thursday. Hopefully today (the dealer's mail comes between 1 and 2PM), the check will be in, meaning I won't be able to pick it up until tomorrow (Tuesday).
Here is the kicker, we had reservations for Normandy Farms for School Vacation Week. Everything from the 21BH was packed in totes in the garage. So, we organized into 3 categories. #1 Must needs #2 May need, but will go in the 183 and #3 Keep Home. I put the roof top carrier on the Jeep, loaded with #2s, and the back of the Jeep has tools and #2. All the #1s went into the camper. So, we are camping out of totes, but making the best of it.
So, I am kinda blaming the dealer for dropping the ball, and not following up with the CU that all the paperwork is all set and the check is on the way. Can't change the past now. Just make the best with the situation.
At least I don't feel as bad. I wasn't the only one showing up still winterized. My neighbor did, too. And his trip started bad, just like mine (Not having the new camper). He parked too close to a tree for his slide, so had to crank his stabs and rehitch, then his WDH Bars attach to his Blue Ox got stuck some how under his ball and in his chains, and then his manual crank jack broke. I spent about an hour helping him yesterday get settled, letting him borrow my 8T bottle jack...still don't know his name yet. LOL.
