Losing the faith???
Well folks, I have been real busy with work, and managed a few trips here and there. But, I am starting to get real disgusted with my Roo. Problem after problem.
Medicine cabinet fell off the wall
A/C was loose and leaking water in
Front bunk is delaminating, wood rotting from water coming in somewhere
Front tent leaks, mostly where pillows/bedding touches the canvas and/or zippers. I can see occasional drips from the zippers when it rains. AND it is NOT condensation.
Bathroom vanity door screws pulled out and door fell off.
One of the kitchen cabinet doors fell off also when the screws pulled out.
Another kitchen cabinet door is coming apart.
Light above the sink is getting tempermental (switch on and off several times for it to come on).
I use to own a few campers many years ago, usually old junkers, but never run into situations like this.
For example, am I doing something wrong for my bedding and pillows to get wet in the rain? And, i can see some water accumulating, also.
Do the cabinets usually fall apart like this?

Man, I made a post to this and it never got posted. Didn't think I said anything wrong. In short, I suggested fixing the things that won't cost that much money then trade it. I don't know if you would take a loss (owe more than it's worth- I don't want to know and it's frankly of my business). But is taking a loss going to cost less than keeping this trailer in repair? Something to think about...
I do feel bad that you're having issues with your trailer, camping is suppose to be fun. I wish you luck and hope you find a solution.

ChooChoo, so sorry to hear, man! No advice, though. :-( Can your dealer talk about it getting sent back to the factory?
JohnIII, your post must have gotten lost in cyberspace. Nothing hit the moderation queue or was disapproved.

I am going to have to repair the cabinets that are coming apart. Part of me is thinking about balancing the tires, because MAYBE it is being shook apart.
As far as the bunk end, I am hoping it makes the rest of the season. Then, I am going to either try to fix it or get it replaced.
The big thing, trading it in for what?? I am about at my comfortable limit for the TV, and getting another TV is not in the near future.
Any suggestions on the rain and the bedding and pillows getting wet??

Wow sounds like you need to talk to an attorney see what your options are.
I highly recommend 303 protectant water proofing liquid. We used it on our pop up never had water issues even in the heavy Florida rains. Soak it good let it dry well. Put it on every area of the canvas, seams and zippers.

Sorry to hear about the troubles. The issues with the cabinets are disappointing - the cabinets in our 2013 Roo seem to be very solid compared to other brands.
As for the bedding getting wet - is is happening while the doors are closed, or the bunk end is open? Seems like the #1 issue with hybrids is leaks when the ends are closed, either because of problems with the door, the seal, or canvas caught pinched in the seal keeping it from closing.
We talked to a factory rep when we bought ours at an RV show, and as DW was giving really pressing him about leaks he kept talking about the new seals and tent attachment on the 2013's as being an improvement over the prior design. So, if you did trade for a 2013/2014, that might be an improvement.
Or, if you want maximum space with lighter weight, some of the high wall popups are pretty nice. You have the extra setup/packup, but leaks seem to be nearly non-existent in popups.
Or the other trade option is a light weight, traditional trailer. The Rockwood Mini-lites seem to have a lot of loyal owners who really like them. And there are other brands. We were impressed with the Shadow Cruiser line at our local dealer. They seem like a good quality tt that is lighter than most. I'm sure there are others out there too.
Seems like the main thing is getting the leak addressed. Maybe a local dealer can take a look and advocate for you with FR if there are design or manufacturing issues with the bunk end.

Mine is a 2011 built in 2010. I am the 2nd owner on it.
The bunk end leaks when closed and driving in the rain. It isn't allbthat bad, but itbis getting into the door which is why I am getting delamination.
As far as the bedding getting wet, that is when it is open. I will have to try the sealer and talk to my local dealer about fixing/replacing the bunk. Luckily, I have only one bunk.

Stopped by my local dealer on the way home from work. Had a great conversations with him. Looks like I will be replacing the bunk end on my 21BH. He told me that if I wasn't in a hurry, it can be shipped with a camper being delivered, and that will save most of the cost of shipping. I am all for that. He should be getting a few campers in the next 5 months.
But, due to financial reasons, looks like we will be keeping the 21BH for a few more years. Gotta save up for my Ram 1500 diesel before getting anything a little bigger. The liberty diesel is at my comfortable limit.

Did the dealer happen to say how much labor would be? I am having the exact same issue and am having my bunk end replaced as well. Have an appointment with the dealer in 2 weeks but wanted an idea of cost before I went.

He gave me a ballpark for door and labor, shipped with a trailer of 600 to 700. If shipped separately, much higher.

Thanks! I am so disappointed that this is happening AND that the extended warranty I bought through my dealer does not cover "water infiltration". This sucks!! At least now I have an idea of how much it's going to cost and I can start saving over the winter.

that's pretty typical of 3rd party extended RV warranties.
in the fine print, you'll see that the most common/expensive RV issues are NOT covered by them.
that's why RV forum members overwhelmingly don't recommend these types of warranties.

I wish I would have known that sooner. When I talked to the dealer on the phone he said that extended warranty covered mechanical issues only, such as the refrigerator going bad. I'm pretty sure they didn't tell me that at the time of purchase. One of my biggest worries when I bought this camper was water issues because my last camper developed mold from a leaky roof. I thought the extended warranty would cover water damage in case it happened again. Now here I am 3 years later with water damage issues and the repairs are coming out of my pocket again. It sucks because I am so careful with my camper and keep it in great shape but I can't catch a break! I am done with hybrids. My next camper will be fully enclosed.

When I bought my 2014 23IKSS the dealer told me that the canvass is under factory warrant for 5 years. I wonder if you could call forest river directly and see if you can get it fixed.

the canvas does not have a FR factory warranty for 5 years. it has its own manufacturer's warranty of either 5 or 6 years. but only for the original owner.
T. J. Snuggles Inc. used to be the canvas manufacturer for Roo/Shamrock. there's a tag on the inside of the canvas end that should have the manufacturer's name on it.
or there's paperwork for canvas care and maintenance in the owner's manual.
