Cool Need help please with how to remove dome light cover

Greetings everyone. We are Mike and Karen from Bountiful, Utah, and recently purchased a new 2012 Shamrock 21SS hybrid. We're getting ready to switch out the bulbs with LED's in the interior lighting fixtures, and have come across a small snag that our user manual doesn't cover. Over the dining table is a dome light, and for the life of us we cannot figure out how to remove the glass cover. There is a knob in the center which doesn't budge by rotating, so we don't think that this is what releases it. We have also tried turning the glass globe counter clockwise, but this isn't working either (it turns but doesn't come out). Below is a link to a photo of the fixture. Any thoughts on how to open it up would be appreciated.

The little knob is very tight but does turn. At least ours does and it appears to be the same light.

Welcome to Forest River Forums. Hope you like it here. We have a sub forum with lots of Shamrocks and Roos, too.

Thankyou Scott for your warm welcome and for giving us the needed info. The knob definitely was very tight, but Mike finally got it off with his RoboGrips. Best regards to Murphy from the soon-to-be camping terriers, Oliver and Bennie. Your site has been an incredible amount of help to us, and we hope someday to return the favor.

Glad it all worked out

Murphy is truly a dog who loves the whole camping thing. We are leaving today for a trip (not camping) and he hopped into the car and sat there for 20 minutes thinking we were.

Murph gives his best to Oliver and Bennie.
