New hybrid with outside kitchen

FR has a new Roo/Shamrock floorplan with an outside kitchen.
it's the 21DK:

it's similar to an old floorplan they had.
a number of dealers already have them in stock.

Doesn't appeal to me too much. Although I do love my grill outside.

I'm not crazy about the idea either. I have a hard enough time trying to remember to pack everything for one fridge. Then I'd have to remember which one stuff is in. Seems like a waste. Just my opinion.

I think its a great idea. To improve the concept though, have a single fridge that opens from both the inside and the outside. Not sure how that would work but the engineers are smarted than me. This is definitely on my "must have" list for our next camper.

Those of you who have not had an outside fridge model wouldn't believe
How much you get attached to it.
We make atleast 50% less trip inside camper.
Well worth the extra weight and space 10 fold!

Besides that the exterior fridge is a normal fridge.

I love the "idea" of an outdoor kitchen but the fridge that they use for these kitchens are not two-way (gas and AC). They are AC only and we dry camp too much.

I have to agree. Once you have an outside kitchen, you'll wonder how you ever managed without one. True, it doesn't operate on 12 volt, but we don't do alot of dry camping. We got that all our of our system when we tented. No turning back now!

Our outside fridge is basically the overflow/ dads beer/ dr pepper cooler. I've been known to throw down a few cold ones at night and all day the wife and I are sipping diet Dr peppers. There's no way that inside fridge would hold all those beverages, milk gallon, eggs, frozen meats, cold cuts, left overs etc. for 5 people. I agree, I don't know what I would do without it.

It came with a mount and electrical/ cable hookup. I ran dual coax under the belly from the rear of the TT to the mount in order to supply signal to my HD Directv receiver. I watched the Nationwide series race on it last night and visited my outside fridge many times.

I mounted my receiver in the basement since which is at the other end of the 5er .
since my remote doesn't need to see the receiver to change channels !

Ours does! Pulls down in front of the microwave. Then just pull down on the handle and it goes up by itself. Sweet!
