Ordered 23ss yesterday!!!!

We are so excited, we ordered our new 2011 23ss yesterday. We are hoping it gets here before our vacation. I can't wait to find all the right places to store things and set up housekeeping in it. DH is getting ready for the mods but that would probably be after we get back from vacation. They changed the colors they were putting in them and that excited us as we didn't care for the 3 they had.

That's a very nice machine. You will enjoy it. LOTS of floor space for kids.

We have the Roo 23ss... exactly the same layout. LOVE IT! We have had ours for 2 weeks now. Could NOT be any happier! So much storage space, it's amazing!!!

Can't wait to see what colors yours has in it. Take photos and show off ASAP.

Thanks! I will post pics as soon as we get it. They said it would be 6 weeks. It is supposed to actually be run week after next but then they are behind getting them delivered. We wanted to go pick it up but they said we couldn't because FR doesn't allow that any more.

congrates on the new 23SS. We got ours in March and so far we love it. Did take some getting use to all the creature comforts that the PUP did not have.

You will really enjoy all the storage space. I moved a few of the divider panels inside some of the cabinets and increased it even more.

What colors did you finnaly end up with?

We are still waiting on delivery and have no word yet. We went with Oak cabinets and Sedona fabric. They have changed colors and this one replaces the cinnamon but has no red in it, Leaf replaces the green and Siesta replaces the blue. I can't figure how to copy a pic from an email to here so I will just have to wait til our camper gets here.
I think it has tons of storage which we will love. The no carpet will be a plus and we can just put in our rugs and take out and wash or replace. The only thing I worry about is the small shower and keeping the water in. DH has come up with some ideas but doesn't know the exact size of the inside of the shower pan. Would you mind to measure yours and let me know the size? I hate to ask but we want to be ready to go if it gets hear before our vacation. DH is calling again today and see if they know anything yet.

The base of the surround measures as follows:
Back of camper side 27 in
outside of camper side 27 in
side along cabinet 17 in
side along stool 17 in
front entry 14in

you may also want to put some type of water proof cover on the side of the sink base cabinet.

Do you have some type of weight distrubution hitch?

a lot of owners install a couple of shower/tub splash guards.
they are available at HD or Lowes. one is a short corner one and a taller one.

double trouble-thank you so much for measuring that for us. Yes we have we WDH and sway bar as we are currently pulling a much heavier tt than what the htt will weigh. As for the side of the cabinet, DH has whatever he needs to cover it with already in the garage waiting. He owns a home renovation and repair business, so he has stuff left over from jobs that if they don't want he will sometimes bring home. We have been using scrap pcs of lumber for firewood.

bikendan-we have looked at those splashguards but we also need something to keep the shower curtain in at the bottom. That is not much of a lip on there and we have a DGD that will be using this lots. No tub is the biggest downfall of this camper, otherwise we love it.

Let the DGD use the outside shower. That will surely keep the mess inside down a little.

Then DH would have to find a way to capture that water and rid it. That would be more trouble than it is worth. If we have to we can use the cg showers while on vacation or our cousins shower while there. We will work something out.

We had the small tub/shower combo in our previous TT. Whenever I turned, I would brush against the curtian and it would open. I picked up some velcro squares (aprrox 1") at Wal-Mart and attached two on each end. You might try it, worked for me.

Congrats on the new trailer and let us know when you get it.

DH talked with the dealer and as far as he can find out, our htt is scheduled to come off the line next Monday. I'm not sure how quickly they will get it to our dealer and then they will have to go through it and we are leaving the 28th on vacation. So if we don't have it by the weekend we may have to wait until after we get back to get it. That would be a bummer, knowing it was waiting on us. Thanks for the hint of the velcro, we will probably use some of that.
