Picked up my used camper from a local dealer

from getting a bunk seal replacement yesterday then decided to put some more weather proof on my canvas windows today and when we opened up our bunks this afternoon found one of our bunks were ripped along the top of our 2005 Aerolite Cub 215. Needless to say I'm extremely ticked off since we are planning on camping this upcoming weekend. I have left a very upset message with the owner. This is a local business in the area, but I'm concerned they are gonna say it's on me or that they didn't do it.

Plus they don't deal with Aerolites in general so not sure how they would go about getting this fixed. Anyone ever had something like this happen before? And to top it all off the seal doesn't appear to be done very well so of course I'll have to complain about that as well. :-(

Tricie, this Forum is mainly for Forest River owners.
Your Aero lite is a Dutchmen product, a division of Thor Industries.
Being familiar with Aero lite hybrids, their seals and canvas are different from any FR hybrid.

My question is didn't you have the canvas ends opened up before you bought it?
Didn't they do a PDI with you?
Do they sell other brands of hybrids?

If this is your first RV, it sounds like the dealer took advantage of you.

You're welcome here but you might want to check out the Dutchman Owners Forum.
You'll find other Aerolite owners there.
Then you can decide which Forum is more helpful.

Tricie, I said that you're welcome here, in my previous post.
I was only trying to help you with your questions.

All brands are welcome here but I was just suggesting that you may want to check out the Dutchmen Forum and see if you can get more help there.

Coincidentally, I'm picking mine up today from having some roof repairs done. When I dropped it off, the dealer and I did a walk-around, and I signed that the only things wrong with it were what we identified during the inspection.

If your dealer had done this with you, they'd be liable now for any additional damage when you picked it up. Otherwise I think it's your word against his.
