Portable waste containers

Does anyone know if I should buy two of the portable waste containers?
One for black water and one for gray? Or is one acceptable for both?Planning on on 6 night stay on the beach and not wanting to pull camper to dump station except for the departure date. Also, I have a 2013 silverado with a 4.8 v8 pulling around 4500 lbs. What do you think mpg will be? Any advice is appreciated.

We NEVER use our blue tote tank for black water, only gray water.
Because it takes much longer to fill a 25 gallon black tank, than a 25 gallon gray tank.
The two of us can easily go 2 weeks before we even get close to needing to dump the black tank, when we dry camp.

Since you don't list what you're pulling, I have to guess that it's a hybrid.
Pulling a HTT/TT with a gasser, will always put you in the 8-11 mpg range.
Pulling with that small v-8, will probably put you in the lower end.
everyone pulling with a gasser, gets that mileage range.

One tank would work for both, and I would say 11 to 12 MPG'S. Just guessing here. But that seems to be the most popular area...

I have a 25 gal we use it for both When you pull up to the dump tank with your trailer both go to the same place. When you dump the blue tank just make sure you flush it out good. a good practice is rinse with clorox and wash outside with clorox.

You can use the same tote for both. One caution Dump often and do not overfill. If you fill the tank before you shut the gate valve on the RV you have a hose full of nasty stuff that will make a mess. Some totes have gauges or signals to alert you when to stop. After use I add some hot water to my tote and a couple oz of Odoban. Cleans and sterilizes.

Just bought a 32 gal. Barker 4 wheel tote with a "bobber guage" and pneumatic wheels to use for the grey tank when camping at Provincial Parks. There's almost no chance we'll fill the black tank in a week.

For the first use, I plan to connect it to the TT and leave the grey valve open and keep my eye on the bobber to gauge how much grey water we generate. I expect I'll need to dump the grey tank on the 3rd or 4th day and then I can let the grey tank fill up for the last few days so I can rinse the sewer hose after dumping the black tank at the end of the week.

If I baby my Silverado I get 12-14mpg. I have a 27 gallon tote I believe.. Works great. We have a 16 233s
