Question on trailer length
We have a 2013 Palomino Stampede S-238, that's currently in storage. A question has arisen regarding the length of the trailer. Per the spec the length of the trailer is 27.42. Is that the length if the closed trailer, or with the beds deployed? I'd like to know the length of the camper bumper to hitch ball.
Thanks

Not same trailer, but mine spec at 36' which does not include hitch length, which is about 3' give or take. Your spec would probably be the same...without the beds extended.

My search of the internet (3 sites) shows length of 23' 8". I'm betting that is length from hitch to bumper, so add about 3-4 ft for the rear bunk when deployed. Front bunk doesn't add any length as it simply extends over the tongue.

Where did you get that number? Never seen any FR hybrid brochure/website spec sheet with opened length numb8.
But that 27.42 number has to be the opened length. Ball to bumper length would be around 24-25 feet.

Thanks guys... I'll use the 24' as the basis for the length. If the rear bunk is down, I can see the overall length to be closer to the 27+' range.
thanks again, much appreciated
I hate to say it, but momma and I are considering going to the dark side, and I need to keep the overall length the same as my current unit.

We did 3 years ago because we retired and our camping style changed.
We travel for 2-3 months straight so a hybrid became less desirable
Still miss the openness and sleeping under canvas.

The unit must be too far away.

Because the camper is stored off site.

Some Hybrid specs specify length open and closed somewhere in the literature.
For the 2013 Palomino Stampede S-238
Length 27.42 ft. (329 in.)
Length Closed 23.7 ft. (284 in.)

Despite what a brochure or sticker says I pull out the measuring tape to be certain. I ask myself... "Do I really want to trust a sticker height statement or would I rather be certain and measure it?"
