what i wonder is why we have owners of popups and residential fridges weighing in here.

the OP owns a hybrid TT and started this thread in the Expandables/Hybrids section of the Forum.

NO hybrid TT has a 3-way fridge nor residential fridge.

so, if you don't have a 2-way fridge, your opinion isn't helpful to the OP.

This has turned into the biggest show and tell stories from kindergarten thread ever. haha! Some of these stories would want to make a person go back to horse and covered wagon, holy crud. How the heck do all the container trucks hauling groceries ever make it up and down our highways??? I must say, the best one so far was the story of the RV traveling down the road and blowing up from some one filling a tank at the filling station......

You mean the ones that use diesel powered refrigeration units?

I do leave my propane powered fridge on. Some of the comments are hilarious though.

There's still plenty of gas station fires on youtube just from a persons static electricity.

Can you believe how many truck stops have been BLOWN UP by them not shutting off the reefer when they fuel up.... Thousands upon thousands killed! Oh... Wait back to reality..

Of course. It only takes a second to pop open the propane tank cover and turn them off before fueling. But I usually fill up the truck before we hook up so only need to do this if the trip is longer than a 4-hour drive, round trip. (And longer trips we usually disconnect after parking and I'll always fill up the final night before we bug out so I don't have to find a gas station that big enough....it's surprising how many small/medium size towns only have tiny 7-11-style pumps available.)
