Rockwood Roo 233S suburban stove

We continue to have issues keeping the oven lit. Gas is running to the stove as the stove burners light. Not sure what the issue is?

The pilot light is lit and up to temperature to stay lit?

I thought that the pilot light needed to be lit to light the burners; however, we discovered that we could light the burners with a match. Would rather not do that. But the igniter doesn't work without the pilot lit.

As far as I know, the Suburban stoves in Roo/Shamrock hybrids, don't have igniters for the burners nor the oven.

Both require a lighter.
The oven requires the pilot light to be lit, before the oven burner will light.
You have to push in the oven knob to light the pilot. You have to keep holding it in for awhile. Then you can turn the knob to light the oven burner.

The oven pilot light doesn't light the stove top burners.

Agree with Dan about the oven, but our 2011 233s does have an igniter for the burners. It looks just like one of the control nobs for the burners. Turn it to spark, and surprisingly enough, it actually works pretty well.

If you mean the oven pilot, then no. The igniter for the stove top burners works fine without the oven pilot lit.

Well, nice to see that they've including the sparking knob on Suburbans.
My older Roo didn't have it but my new TT has an Atwood which does have it.

The pilot light in the oven has NOTHING to do with the stove burners.
It is only for the oven and has to be lit manually,.

Have you read the manual?
