Roo/Samrock 233s - silverware drawer?

My wife asked where we put our silverware in the Shamrock 233s we are getting shortly?

Of course neither of us paid any attention while in the unit at the show in February.

I thoughts about it, and tried to remember the layout and looked at some pics of the kitchen area, but can't recall that there is a specific drawer.

What do you all do?

Thanks in advance to the answers to a silly question.

curious too - our camper (we get it tuesday) has no place for one either. the whole kitchen thing has be more baffled that anything else since you can't really leave food in there anyway. at least we chose one with counterspace!

We are new Roo 233S owners & that was a perplexing question even after we got it. There no drawers on the galley (sink, stove) side of the trailer. I have seen where others have used the drawer in the dinette for that purpose. We chose to put in a wire shelf with legs that fit on one of the pantry shelves. We then just used the silverware container that we have used in the PUP for years. It fit well, then underneath we were able to put another container for other kitchen gadgets.
As to your question I almost feel that the Shamrock & Roo areas could be combined since they are just sister models that are identical except for fabric & decals & there seem to be more Roo owners, nothing wrong with Shamrock though.

Thanks rbq. I can picture that. And I agree that the Roo and Shamrock subforums ought to be combined.

We no longer use silverware because there is no place to put it. Problem solved..camping now = finger foods.

Seriously, we put it in the drawer under the dinette. I like the wire rack idea in the wardrobe....

Congrats on the trailer!! We actually used the drawer under the dinette bench for "misc" cooking stuff such as measuring spoons/cups, wire whips, can opener, peeler, basting brushes,.....

Since we like to eat outside as much as possible, we solved the silverware issue by using a diswasher silverware basket that we keep in the pantry. I have seen similar baskets from time to time (actually got the idea from something I saw at target several years ago).

You can see what I mean on our mods page:

I have redone the pantry since I took these pictures. I actually used the wire shelf you mentioned, a few plastic bins from target (spices) and some shoebox sized plastic drawers we use in the previous camper.

Enjoy your new trailers!

Good ideas everyone.

Funny thing, Jakearoo, is that I had been looking at those photos of yours earlier this weekend and saw how you organized and your mods. Nice work, sir!

We bought a separate silverware set for the trailer that came with a little sectioned off wicker basket. It stays on the table under the window while we're parked and goes some place safer while we're traveling.

Works for us, at least for the cutlery.

I just picked up a handy little silverware carrier from Target ($10). It's oval, has three compartments for silverware and space for napkins. It also has a handle making it easy for a child to carry out to the picnic table. I figure I can just put it in a cabinet when we're not using it.

It was in the seasonal section - they had white, coral & blue.
