Setup pugs on hybrid

Just replaced my pop up with a hybrid. Thinking about pugs. On the pop up I put the top on before I raise the roof. It kind of jams between the vinyl and the roof once up.

The top of the bunks are too high and does not have the same pinch point as the pop up. So does one need a ladder and some Velcro to setup on a hybrid?

We just put some on our new to us 2015 21DK. I put velcro on to make it possible to leave them on all the time. We did need a step ladder to get them on the first time. Closed up without any trouble.

we also use velcro. just open the end window and lower the tenting. you can reach everything by standing on the bed through the open window - just don't step on the tenting as you don't want to pull on it and you don't want to have it come unattached.

We did the same thing when we had our hybrid. I would take them off at the end of the season and clean everything well, let it dry and then fold it up for the winter. When we opened for the season, I would again clean everything, dry and then attach. Worked well for the 4 seasons we had our unit.

We have pugs on our 21SS but we just use clips. A ladder does come in handy since we are both height challanged. We just clip them to the "gutter"above the bunks before opening them, then just open as usual and then do the clips on the elastics. We have never had any problems with the clips holding.

I use space blankets, which luckily fit my roo 233s bunks perfectly. Needed a stepladder to reach the very top clips, but they seemed to hold just fine with clips.

I don't attach them to the gutter or use the Velcro at the top, but I'd be interested to see the Velcro attachment. Would be great to leave them attached when folding it up!

Here is a close up of the corner. Use industrial strength Velcro

(If pic doesn't show up, I'd love someone to help me figure out how. Searching hasn't lead me to instructions)
