Slide out toppers

Well, there has been some discussion back and forth on the need. My previous HTT survived quite well without a topper (did order one from CW that included free shipping. Ended up paying for the shipping but never got the topper). I like to leave the sliders out while sitting in my yard, but hate having to clean them. Twice so far this spring and only have camped once. So I made these this weekend. I was going to use Camo canvas but the DW emphatically sais "No". So I gave her the dimensions and told her to pickup tarp color of her choice. The other componants were 2" pvc pipe (about 10' in order to do both slides), grommets, rope, and the "the handyman's second secret weapon", bunjee cords.

That will probably do the trick, but I wouldn't be without my slide awnings. Nothing to put up & nothing to clean off the slide tops.

Took out our topper on its maiden voyage :-( I may use this until we replace it. Thanks.

Pretty snazzy and cheap mod for those without a topper! Nice job!
