Soft Wood Insider Bunk Door

I have a used 2011 Roo 21SS and noticed that the bottom 1.5 inches of the front inside bunk door was soft all the way across. I cut the top vinyl layer and revealed wet rotting wood for about 1.5 inches up. The rest of the door is solid, so I wanted to know if I should let this dry out for now and attempt to remove some of the really thin luan. I’ve attached a picture and next layer under this thin wood looks fine. This may have been a new leak somewhere, but the integrity of the door seems to be fine. Looking for any feedback. I could get a new door if needed from Rockwood, but would rather not have to spend around $500 just yet.

Thanks everyone.
