Space above double door fridge ?

With the single door fridge - there is a 2-door cabinet above it - with the larger 2 door fridge, no doors and probably just wasted space, has anyone tried to make good use of that space?

Curious....

Well, let's see. Not all trailers are created equally. Mine has the stove over the single door refrigerator. Would help to know what trailer you have, the refrigerator model, and a picture of the space you are talking about. I'm not trying to be a smart *****, just your question is too generic to give you a reasonable answer based on the information supplied. One warning, the refer must vent the heat it builds somewhere. Heat goes up. That space may contain some of the refer's venting and not be usable.

On our last motorhome we had an open shelf above our fridge which on later models of the same rig did receive a cabinet with doors on it. It my not be impossible but for the reason of venting correctly may not be prudent as Windrider pointed out.

I'm gonna guess that at least the front half of that space is a
wasted void.
If you open yours up and find room for storage, please take
a picture and post it here!!

Oops - sorry should have mentionned it a 19 footer. I wrongly assumed that the all fridges for most of FR's models would have the same space above - and that the same space would be smaller with the dual door fridge...

My guess if it's used for a cupboard with doors for the smaller fridge, it's probably dead space with the larger dual door fridge - I will have a look as I plan to install a fan to push air to the top behind the fridge to improve performance.
I was curious to see if anyone else had investigated this...

Regards.

no, all fridges in FR models aren't the same, even within the particular product line. my 23SS, which is a Roo/Shamrock model, only has about a 5 1/2" space above the fridge frame.
would only be good as a small cubby hole or shelf.
