Stabilizer jacks up or down for winter?

I am not sure which way is best, my guess is up to prevent rusting. I am in the northeast with somewhat wet winters.

Not quite the same thing, but on my pop-up we kept the stabilizers up when storing it. They were only down when it was in use.

Stabs don't need to be down if you are not walking around in the rig. Leave them up and lubricated for the winter

Touch up the paint and keep them clean and lubed to prevent rust.
There is some kind of rust preventative spray coating people use on the underside of cars and trucks.
You might look into that.

Leave them up. Anything touching the ground can become a pathway for mice, etc.

I have always stored mine up for the winter.

Ours are down. But I keep a close eye on tires because if one decided to lose air, it could damage a jack quickly. No mice problems in three years of storing camper here too. Like others say, I keep jacks lubed and clean.

Wow. A lot of info. Thank you all very much. I am going outside to raise them to prevent mice, rust, potential damage from change in tire inflation. I will give them a shot of wd40 just to keep water off, a maybe touch them up in the spring.

I put mine down out of concern for wind. I store our Roo in an open field behind a garage at my cousin's farm and it's exposed to a lot of east and north wind. If the mice want to get in, having the stabilizers up won't stop them.
