Thought it should start
Thought this is worth starting.
After camping for 8 year s in a pup (1997 starcraft 1021 classic) we made the move earlier this year to a 2008 Fr Shamorock 19'.
Saw them at a local RV show. When we went to follow up in the spring, they were sold out, but had a few on order. Fortunate, the only 19' they had on order was what we were looking for. As well, we were fortunate to be getting the 2008 model. As much as it is the same as the 2007, we will get one summer on it and still be new (on the books anyway).
We have the double fridge/freezer, heated mattresses, outside speakers, RVQ (which I modified), create a breeze bathroom fan, water filter, micro wave, awning, tan interior, along with all the standard features.
Selected this unit over the Jayco due to price, local dealer, 14" wheels, and a few other items.
Love this unit and hope for many year sof use.
Any other Shamrock owners out there?

Another Shamrock owner here (2003 Shamrock 25BH). Purchased this past weekend as a replacement for our 1999 Skamper 23L Popup which we thoroughly enjoyed over the years.

how did you modify your rvq?
i have one and love it excpet for the splatter it puts on the rv sidewalls

I'm another Shamrock owner and a newbie to this forum. Hello all! My wife, daughter and I have been thoroughly enjoying our 2007 23B. We jumped into RVing with no prior camping experience to speak of and can't wait to go out again. We may try a final camping trip this weekend before winterizing.

Welcome, its nice to hear of another long time camper moving to different forms of the RV experience. Looking forward to hearing the differences in your camping. What is an RVQ anyway?

An RVQ is that over priced,low pressure grill that hangs on the side of you camper that took the place of the little outside cook top a few years ago. People that don't have them wish they did,ones who do, usually use them once and box them back up and put them in the attic or someplace and regret spending over $200 for them. I would rather have my portable that I can put any where I want on my camp site. Away from my camper and awning.

We had a drop out 2 burner stove on the side of our OUTBACK trailer. I loved that thing. Only problem, it took forever to cook because it was low pressure too.

Hello!! My wife and I bought a shamrock 21ss back in 04 (it was an 05) and just recently traded it in for a full size deal.. We loved that little camper! We camped just about every weekend in it.. no real problems.
Awww...the rvq! I gave up trying to cook a decent meal on that! went and got one of those grates you put on top of the fire pit. MUCH better!! I am not even going to bother opening up the other one that came w the new trailer. Besides...cook a few burgers on that..get a little flame up..and the heat that rises melts the awning! didn`t `warp` it but in the correct light you could see a huge discoloration spot. rrrr i was mad!!!

Hey Ya'll.
I am patiently waiting the arrival of my first TT. I have a Shamrock 21SS coming the first of February. I love to camp but I am getting too old and lazy to tent camp anymore. So here I am waiting. I am excited, nervous and anxious as I have never owned a RV before. My parents have a 5th wheel. So, they get to go with me on my first outing. Will it ever get here?

Three new neighbours in one thread! Cool! Hi Gerry and Mike and Amy. We had a Starcraft 1021 for a while too Gerry... good unit. I don't have a shamrock, but I really hope you enjoy yours.
Mike, what was it that got your family into the idea of RVing?
Amy, welcome... patience is some hard sometimes huh! I hope it will be worth the wait... some of my best camping experiences have been getting together with my and my wife's parents - in separate units of course. Best of both worlds.
