Att: Active and Retired Military campers
This is a really impressive camping organization for active duty and retired military personnel. I’ve looked it over and it appears to have chapters in many, if not most, states. It might appeal to those of you who enjoy(ed) the organizational structure and “rapport and camaraderie” (their words) of the military environment. This page contains a directory, with links, to all local chapters, as well as information on eligibility requirements, etc.

Nice post and good info. Speaking for myself, only I can honestly say I avoid military retirees. I do vet work at the VA, cheer up type stuff, but when it comes to a bunch of militayr folks getting together, some memories need to go away, talking shop gets old, and it always boils down to politics or who has the biggest scar or fornicated the most ladies. No thanks!

Military Campgrounds
Thanks for the new site info. Here is another I have been looking at and the reviews users post actually make me want to visit some of these campgrounds soon.

I really enjoy the ones I have stayed at, including Quantico VA, Key West FL and MacDill in Tampa. If you don't mind heat and like beautiful sunsets, then Key West is where you want to be during the summer when it is wide open and no crowds.

we met some folks that are memebers while we were in bama this summer, funny thing is they live about 1 hr away from our place here in texas,
been thinking of joining, Us old senior retirees just BS, no conquer or over stated feats of heroism, unless surviving 8 years of bill counts as a Survivior

Figured I start here among friendly fire before opening my yap out in the other forums. I guess it's not well known that Forest River makes Palomino's too. Haven't seen a forum for us TCers. So hopefully you won't mind the intrusion into the land of TTs and 5ers. I've got quite a few issues with my WinterCreek and have found many answers or should I say gave up looking for answers (can you say Concertone? ) while lurking on this site so I decided to join up and come clean.
