Got out for 12, and went back into the Army (Guard) as an Environmental Science Officer for 3 1/2 years at a Med Bn. Had to get out right about the time I was due for Cpt.

My boat had many nukes turn into career officers or (DI) LDO's.
Another nuke here....class 9505 in Orlando/Ballston Spa. Spent 4 years 11 months and 10 days on SSN699 (Jacksonville. Fun fact - one of my CO's is now the head of NR), made EM1, then went to SSMD on Point Loma. Got out in 2003 because the Navy wouldn't let me cross-rate.

U.S. Navy 1961 - 1988. Loved moving every 2 years or so. Spent 12 years in RV full timing. Slowing down now so only do about 7000 miles in the summer staying away from the Texas heat.
Saw lots of the world and lots of ocean onboard DD704 & 938, T ATF 172, AGF 1, AGP 1176, AVP 37 & 41.
Do It AGAIN? YES!

My first husband was stationed at Kirtland when we met. We got married in the base chapel, and our firstborn was born in the base hospital.

Ticonderoga in July

How many Vets around here still or do ride motorcycles? The reason I ask is because the Combat Veteran's Motorcycle Association will be having their Regional Ride this year in Ticonderoga, NY, July 22, 2017. CVMA Chapter 19-3 is doing the hosting. Anyone in the area is welcome to join in, you don't have to be a CVMA member for the ride and the Bar-B-Que afterwards. Always a great time with these folks! If you don't ride, be advised that most of us have already started acquiring our reservations, so space might be limited in the area. Just offering a heads up is all ~

Hi all.

I have a combined 35 years of active Army and DA civil service. Logistician, with focus on Transportation.

5 years out from retirement from civil service. Buying travel rig now to ensure it’s all paid off at retirement date.

Just ordered ’17 RAM 2500 Laramie CC 4X4 Cummins Turbo Diesel. Will order ‘17 Rockwood 2703WS next weekend.

As an Army brat and 25 years active duty...have seen the world...many times over...on Uncle Sam’s agenda. Now it is time to go reconnect with America on my own schedule.

Wife and I are completely new at this. Look forward to others getting us smart.

Thanks

Bob
