VXE-6 - You must have also been at Pt. Mugu, CA. I was there 10/71 to 12/74 with the Naval Missile Center, Helo crew; AE-3.

NBC Officer various positions in 1st Infantry (Ft Riley)
Army Recruiting Command
Resigned Regular Army commission post Desert Storm. I did not deploy from Recruiting Command while over 75% of my year group was in the Gulf. Figured I was non-promotable at that point or possible an eventual above zone promotion to O-4. Did the civilian thing at that point.

Retire Army
23 1/2 years in the Army, UH-1H, UH-60 mechanic, crew chief, door gunner, technical inspector. Retired in 2011 from Hunter Army Airfield and just stayed close by. Currently contracting, finally got out of Afghanistan after over 3 years, still overseas but elsewhere. Headed home soon for some serious camping with the wife and Grandson.

USAF G R E A T place to start
Loved to travel. Joined USAF in Fargo. But AFSC was mostly remote duty. So Greenland, Turkey, Libya, etc were primary non US locations.
So left after 4 yr.
Obtained 2 degrees via GI Bill and G R E A T positions at ATT, Boeing, Lockheed. The USAF was a great place to start!
