OK I know it's probably been discussed but someone asked my wife when she was talking to some of her friends about us getting the DOD ACCESS CARD.
Her husband retired from the National Guard after 22 years, and she wondered if he would be eligible.

Have used COE campgrounds, most are near water, lake or river. If you have the NP senior pass, usually half off. some are very nice, FHU with paved parking spots, some just dirt and no hookups.

She's 7 now, not bad for a kid Dr's said wouldn't make it to term! I'd love to take her there, and the Half price will make it affordable. I'm working on converting her wagon to balloon tires for a beach trip in June!

Once we stayed at New Boston Air Force Station campground in NH. It was gated and our site on the pond was 30 amps with water. We stayed a week and dumped on the way out. Super quiet with very few RV trailer or MH campers.
At that time we couldn’t use the ponds because of the possibility of live ordnance in them. Since then the base has been closed for clean-up.
Here is a picture of our site with a nice fire going in the fire ring.

After 22 years and honorably retired, he has a red DoD access card. At 60 he will get the gray card when his retired pay starts.
He is certainly eligible.

Thanks Airedale! Wife and I have been looking at your site pictures, and can't wait to get on the road! She hopes to exit the Rat Race, June, if not sooner. All depends on how quick they can hire a replacement for her.

There is an I-Phone app "C-RV military " that shows most places that have RV camping. Most have prices, pictures, descriptions.
The android might have one similar.
