USAF Aircraft Radio Repair

Hello to all. Just found this thread. New here. Just picked up my new Salem 22RKS this week.

I served from 1968 - 1972 as a 301x0 ( I think!) Long time ago. Stationed in Loring, Ubon, Kwang Ju, McClellan. Originally from NYC, dropped off in Sacramento for the last 1 1/2 years. Stayed in Sac. Worked on B52s, F4s, F105s, B66s, Connies, C130 & C123 Gunships.

Made a career out of radio repair by working for State of Cal as a telecomm tech, and ended up Comm Manager for Dept of Fish & Game.

Have a good one.

I was an officer in the USAF from 1995-2005, split between 13S (Space Operator) and 62E (Aero Engineer). Had the three best CONUS assignments a man could ever want -- Sunnyvale CA, Boston MA, and Los Angeles CA! Got out in 2005 and came to work for Lockheed Martin doing more satellite stuff. Here I am TDY in Germany supporting some satellite tests.

My DH was US NAVY Aircraft Electrician on the USS Hancock during the Vietnam conflict.
He was one of the ones that made sure that the planes that dropped things on Vietnam really did drop them. Also he would hang over the side of the ship while in motion, while working on the planes.
Have to love ALL our military personal
THANK YOU ALL FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR OUR COUNTRY.

Retired Air Force! Started as a missile launch officer (18XX) in South Dakota; was a wing staff officer in Minot, ND; helped start up the bomber weapons school at Ellsworth AFB, SD as a curriculum developer; and finished at the HQ AF Junior ROTC at Maxwell AFB, AL in 1995. Currently still wearing AF blue as an AFJROTC instructor - hope to retire from the school system in three years!
