Thank you all for your service, today of all days.
I'm a Naval Officer - 1615 now. I started out as 1100 which was General Unrestricted Line (boring, at least to me) so after my first tour, i switched to 1610 - used to be called Cryptologist but now it's Information Warfare Officer.
I was regular active duty '91-'00, broken service time, then went back in the Reserves after 9/11. Currently (and for the better part of the past 6 years) recalled to active duty.
Lieutenant Commander (O-4) now, will pin on Commander (O-5) next summer.

USAF 1979-2005
AFSC's changed many times in that period, I can't recall them all. So the job descriptions are:
Instrument/Auto Pilot Technician
Avionics Technician
Integrated (digital) Avionics Technician
Due to a new job oppurtunity, added an additional AFSC of Helicopter Crew Chief and moved on to Flight Line Production Superintendent.
Finished up the career on the HQ staff for the training command as an Avionics Superintendent.

I cam this close -- to going EOD after I got back from gypoland in the early 90s. I got in good with the EOD guys while I was over there and fell in love with it.

20 years Army
Hi All:
Entered the Army as a 64C - truck driver. Boring duty
Volunteered for EOD training in 76 at Ft Hood (maybe I remember Jim Deeter there?) I was only an attachee when he retired.
EOD for 8 years.
Next was 55X Ammo Inspector for two years.
Then I finished my time in the Army as an Ammo Warrant. Retired as a young CW3.
Now, I still work the EOD thing as a contractor. No uniform and better money.
Have a great day!
