MOS, AFSCS, Rating ??

I've been in the Massachusetts Air National Guard for the past 15 years. I'm a TSgt (E-6) and about to be promoted to MSgt (E-7). I started out as a 3C0X1, and worked primarily as an Information Assurance and COMSEC Manager. Later when the AFSC's changed, I became a 3D0X3, Cyber Surety NCOIC, and concentrated primarily on policy/procedure and Certification & Accreditation of classified networks. I also do this as a civilian as my full-time career. I worked 6 years as a federal employee and then moved on to government contracting.

Joining the Air Force was one of the the best decision's I've made in life.

Thank you for your service. I was in from 1992-1996, and was a 3C0 (actually it was 491 when I first joined). After tech school at Keesler, I went to Kunsan AB, Korea for a year, working in the data processing center, then went to Charleston, SC, working as an operator in the base comm center first, then as a computer/network technician. Joining the Air Force was also one of my best decisions.

Not useless, a necessary cog in the machine. I turned wrenches on Navy helo's. Not glamorous but necessary to complete an over all mission.

14 Foxtrot, Artillery. 155mm self propelleled, nuke rounds (never needed TG), and the regular boring whitebag/greenbag stuff.

Early to mid 70's until they "ended the war".

I don't agree with "useless". Don't forget the Quartermaster Corps is the second oldest branch of service, next after the Infantry. I retired as a QM CW5, with 33 years service, but remember my enlisted time as a unit supply Sergeant doing the units dirty laundry and providing the supplies they needed to do their jobs. All jobs are important. Thank you for your service!

Without QM, we'd all have been dirty, starving, thirsty, naked people with no transportation, weapons or ammo. Your work was far more important than you seem to realize.

You trader! You go from AD to BM? Haha, I was an AD and on one deployment on an FFG I trained and converted a BM to AD.
