How's life at Fort Rucker nowadays? Haven't been there since I went to the CW5 "table manners" course in 1999.
Joined in 1973. Flight school class 76-13. Cobra transition at the 6th Air Cav Combat Brigade at Fort Hood in 1977. Retired in 2004 after 31 years of flying Cobras, 58s, Hueys, Blackhawks, and a desk. Came up on orders for Iraq and decided I was too old to get shot at anymore. Been selling C-17's for Boeing to international customers ever since.

As usual Mother Rucker is in a constant flux, trying to keep the the quality of training up during an ever tightening belt. But the normal does not totally go away We just turn the wheel it keeps going around. Less hours in primary and more in advanced it the current, but that may change again in the near future as budget gets cut ever bigger.

Joined 155SP FA Battery in 1976, worked up to Chief of Firing battery before becoming Battalion Operations SGT and HHB 1SG. Unit converted to Military Police for deployment to OIF/OEF.
Deployment injuries forced retirement after 33 years but it was a great ride! Wife and I are loving our RV and travelling as often as we can!
Many Thanks to All Who Served -
And here's one to our brothers waiting on Fiddler's Green.

Sorry I missed this earlier message here.
I have been trying to find others from Vietnam who were in 21st TASS.
My main base was Cam Rahn Bay but did 28 remotes during my year.
Worked I Corp and II Corp areas only. Many time the Korean White Horse Div flew me into many hill tops......
I went many places west if you know what I mean

Question to all Air Force posters here - I was Active Duty Air Force from 1960 to 1964 and my last AFSC was 43151e.
I am now seeing AFSCS - I know a lot of things have changed since I was AD, but can anyone tell me what the last "S" in what I knew as Air Force Speciality Code now stands for?
Thanks.

The S is just for the plural I think. As far as I know it is still just AFSC. Of course your 43151e is no longer valid, though I don't know what it is now. My old 20771 is now 1N271 (and an A for Airborne).

Thats kinda of what I thought about the "s" - it just got added on.
You just gotta rub it in about my old AFSC - I believe it was for Jet Aircraft, over 4 engine or something similar.
I think I asked you this before, but I knew an Ed and Sharon who lived in Azle, Texas sometime ago and have a son named Shane, but that's not you guys if I remember correctly.
Thats for the reply.
