Navajo Code Talkers!

Just read where one of the (First 29) Code Talkers (Chester Nez) passed away on (6/4/2014). We had the Honor to meet some of the (Code Talkers )while at the (Frog Balloon Rally) in Albuquerque,NM. in 2012

They were/are truly GREAT AMERICANS and were a great asset during WWII. Some say they are the reason we won the war.

X2. I watched a very interesting and informative PBS special about the Code Talkers a couple years back.

Even their code was in code. As there was no Navajo word for aircraft, tanks,
machine guns and so on, they just repurposed existing words.

Even if you understood the language you may still not be understanding the message. I saw the PBS special too. Pretty neat stuff

Not just Navajo and not just WWII. They did indeed save many lives.

Did a travel assignment in Navajo Nation and routinely traveled Code Talkers Hwy. Really nice people there.

I talked to them several times over the years during their amateur radio special event weekends. It was an HONOR.
