Oh yeah the Air Force does it right. I was in the Army for 25 yrs, 1 tour Korea , 2 in Vietnam, 2 in Germany one in the Middle East. Three army brats. I miss it terribly.

I was AF myself (before all the Army/Marines laugh too hard, I was Combat Control )

But, Yeah AF does it right -- In fact, the standing joke was before construction started on a new Air Force base, they had to have a golf course laid out and plans for a O'club

That's about right. I was a Tank Cdr my last tour in Nam, had to take our vehicle to Da Nang AFB, for a modification, got stuck there overnight, my guys almost mutinied on me when we went to the Mess Hall, oops sorry, the Dining facility.

LOL! Good thing you never took them to Tan Son Nhut...they'da fragged ya

Oddly enough, even the Army has stopped calling it the Mess Hall...it is now referred to as the D-FAC (Dining Facility)

And food service in today's Army? Like NOTHING you or I (even as AF!!) EVER saw! Check this out:

I am due to ETS CONUS in December. DW and I are very interested in the 25RL Grey wolf. That is why i am lurking on here. The problem is I have yet to find anyone on here that has one. Lol

I spent 3 years in Stuttgart back in 83 - 86 at Nellingen Barracks. I loved it, and loved Stuttgarter Hofbrau.
