Well a total of three tours in the US Army (1980 - 2000)
Basic training Fort Leonard Wood, MO
AIT Fort Benjamin Harrison, IN
First assignment: Fort Devens, MA
Second Assignment: Frankfurt/Heidelberg, Germany
Last assignment: Washington, DC area (PERSCOM/CAA)
Not bad for 20 years,

Nope not too bad at all. I think we ended up with 13 moves. Figured in 21 years I was deployed 10. I work with a guy who spent 24 years in TDA units. Must be nice!

I don't really remember any good assignments where I was, unless I can count my R&R to Sydney. Now that was better than good. In fact, it was the goodest! Denise... Lynn... Jane, from Canberra... ah yes, the memories will last a lifetime.

Best place I've been stationed was Beaufort, SC at the Marine Corps Air Station. Best deployment was on the USS America (CV-66) late summer Med cruise. Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Israel, Turkey. Gotta love cruisin' on an oil burner.
