Bike loading and the ramp angle

Ok gang, just piocked up a used 32' Sand Piper toy hauler. I knew looking at it that I've got to figure out a way to load my 03 Goldwing with the ramp-to-floor angle. I know you brilliant motorcycle enthusiasts have already done the math...anyone wanna share the secrets only moto-heads will appreciate?

Not knowing if you have a side ramp or a rear ramp door, makes helping difficult. If rear ramp door, elevate the tongue a lot, this will lower the rear of the trailer and make the angle less. If it's a side door, ......

simple solution, attach ramp extension [alum diamond plate] to the top inside of ramp with a hinge, fold it in and secure with a latch, then fold your ramp door in, you can attach risers to the exterior of your ramp door or just use the same blocking that you would use for leveling your trailer

I take it that you are concerned about "high centering" at the top of the ramp where it hinges with the floor. You can reduce the angle between the ramp and floor (a little bit), by placing a set of these under the ramp when it is in the down/load position. Just center yourself on one of them and do it.

Alternatively, you can lay one of these loading ramps on the trailer ramp and it will "see saw" as you pass the apex point and prevent a high center situation.

But you'll have to be brave to do it. And you'll have to strap the bike down while it is still on the loading ramp (not a preferred procedure).

Know what you are talking about, Had a VF 750 C which I busted a hole in the pan loading in a trailer. I now have a 6'6" ramp from a u-haul or Rider that solves all my loading problems
