Motorcycle rack

I have a 23 ft. FR Forrester and we are heading for Alaska. I don't want to use a trailer so can anyone recommend a motorcycle and cargo carrier that would work on my hitch?

Depends on the weight of your motorcycle, the carrier in post 2 is dependent on your hitch's rating.

Note: The weight capacity of this carrier is dependent on the tongue weight rating of your towing setup.

Tongue WeightCarrier Capacity
300 lbs 180 lbs
350 lbs 225 lbs
500 lbs 350 lbs
750 lbs 450 lbs

If it's a 850 lb FLH Harley, you need this.

I was just informed by a motorcycle carrier mfg. that "no" motorcycle carriers are designed for use with RVs because of the longer distance from rear axle to carrier. Is this true? Is there no safe way to carry a 300 lb bike on the hitch?

I call BS on that statement. Yes there is some weight transfer if you hang it off the back, more on rear axle, less on front. What size/weight bike are you hauling? I haul a 250# dual sport on the back of my trailer via a frame mounted receiver. I've seen a TON of bikes like mine on the back of RV's. A close friend hauls his DS on the back of his older class C, works great. It does add to the rear overhang so you have to be careful in driveways.
