Nice Bike.

I have an 02.....how do you like the hard saddle bags..? I have the big Honda Line bags and added a lock but was thinking about changing them to a bettle bag.

Welcome and nice ride!
I used to have an 02 1800 w/ beetlebags and XR fairing. Unfortunately I had electrical gremlins after 7 years so I bought a Vic Cross Country. My wife had an 04 1300 traded in on a Vision. Also have a Kingpin and a Ness signature ackpot.

Spring must be around the corner; the bike posting numbers are going up!

Very nice ride bear71. Does the VTX going on the RV trips as well?

My strictly stock FJR1300 will have to mope in the garage on it's lonesome when we take our little A122 hardside pop-up (delivery in 2 wks or so) on trips. Almost went for a small toy hauler we saw at the spring RV show but the convenience of garage storage won out. So I will just have to alternate travel modes!

Goldwing rider

Love the red it stands out well. Bought a 2008 Goldwing in Elkhart after returning from South Dakota. We took a Yamaha Ventura out with us but it fell over in the trailer in the flood coming back. My wife still thinks I did it on purpose just so I could get the new bike. I myself think she just fell in love with the heated seats. So anyone pull a pop up with there bike?

Funny you should ask. It has come up a couple times between the DW and me. She says if I'm dragging her along on a bike trip, she at least is sleeping in a hotel. Not the ground, not in a miniature pop up. A hotel with unlimited hot showers.
Before I was married, I did a little traveling on the bike. I tell her that tent camping on a motorcycle trip is part of the fun, but between us, it's no fun. Hotel is better than ground. Hot shower beats no shower.

We went to the motorcycle show this weekend and were amazed at how much room the motorcycle tent trailers have! This is the company that was at the show:

Don't know about sleeping on the ground anymore

The pop-up for the bike has a queen size areo bed in it with the electric mattress cover on it we also have indoor tiolet and TV. It also has a place for a AC unit and a port to reach outside to the ice chest so you don't have to go out to get a drink. But then you know how it is we never camped alone as friends fall out of the wood work. Take Me Take Me.

LOL, just thinking about how times have changed. Anybody remember bungee cording a bedroll to your handlebars? And if it was more than a two day trip, you tied a backpack to your sissybar?

I remember doing that. And I remember the last time I did that- two days into a 9 day trip saying "forget this, I'm checking into a hotel."
