I did the tail twice, off season and weekday, no traffic, no crotch rocker kamikazes trying to push me out of the way. Also try the 28. Stayed in Alcoa, to save money on lodging. Just be aware of the fog/dew on the road early in the a.m.

Go slow and stay to the right hand side of your lane. Last time we did it rounded a blind curve to find a large motorhome taking up most of both lanes going the other way. I think they restrict certain vehicles now.

I used to own a Black Shadow. Sold it in 1963. Bad decision. Sold it to get a ‘62 Corvette. Sold it in 1966. Another bad decision. 😣

Couldn’t blame you. I also sold a ‘60 Austin Healey to get the $$ for the Vette. If I had kept them all I’d have a new Berkshire. 😩
