Thanks for clearing that up, key is factory installed. Just wondering, should we go with newer tt, would be a Flagstaff again. Getting the bug seeing the 2015 models that rollied out, am hearing 2016 should be at dealers shortly. Of course will see them in August in Godhen!

This is my certification tag:

It is based on actual completed weight at the factory with all options installed. I don't expect to carry water - I will use bottled water carried in the SUV for drinking, and use campground showers.

The receiver tube that I am installing is 36" long and will attach to at least 3 frame crossmembers. I may also add reinforcements and/or gussets based on what I see once I get under the trailer for the test fit.

Although the factory rear bumper carries my ample weight without any flexing, I am not using it for weight bearing - that will be carried by the receiver. I will strap the cycle carrier to the bumper for stability - to keep the carrier from teeter tottering. It will also serve as a plan B if the main system fails.

Axle Rating

When I worked for the Forest Service, we always ordered our trailers with axle ratings at twice what our load was. It is necessary if you use the trialer much on dirt roads. I broke the axle on my small camping trailer because I didn't follow this rule.

Forest river will not let you order "for the most part" heavier axles.
Unless the factory has an optional axle that can be ordered which isn't very common.

Then again think about your warranty mostly likly void when adding to rear bumper or frame. Later RJD

In all cases the frame warranty will be void if there's a hitch installed.
Unless THE MANUFACTURE OKs It, Which They wont.
