Air compressor

Can anyone recommend a small portable 12v or 110v compressor to maintain tire pressure on a class A motor home. My tires call for 125psi max and I try to maintain 110psi. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

imo you will need a compressor with a tank on it. A small pancake would be the best, imo.

I have one of those compressor/warning light dealys that plugs into the cigarette lighter. (like this)

It will actually reach 125psi, but don't be in a hurry. I got it for Christmas one year, and you would be surprised how many times that little POS compressor bailed me or other people out of a jam.

Very cheap, but light, stores anywhere, and pretty damn handy.

I have one of these also I had to pick it up the USA because Sears Canada don't carry them. Has worked well for me.

do you have a class a diesel pusher with air brakes? if so, you already have the compressor and air tank. any shop should be able to plumb a fitting off one of your air tanks, then you would just need a quick disconnect fitting and a hose.

if not, harbor freight has pancake compressors for about 50 bucks. mine has done everything from running air nailers to airing up car, truck and rv tires. weighs next to nothing and takes up little space.

with a coupon and a little haggling, you can get the price down. they dont appear to be set in stone.

i got this one for about 40 bucks with a 3 yr warrenty last year.

I recently purchased this one. I actually have 3 other portable compressors but none would go to 150 psi. Now I have 4 compressors. This one is a winner in my book. Great for an RV, light weight, takes up very little room, will inflate the higher psi tires.

Before the OBX of NC pretty much became off limits to humans, we went down quite a bit and needed to air up the tires when we came off the beach. After some research, I picked up a Viair 400P Compressor Kit on ebay. They are not cheap (got mine for a pretty good price on auction), but they will air up big tires on a truck pretty quick. Viair has a pretty good following by off road'ers. Anyway, I made an adapter plug so I just plug into the 6 pin plug that's on my bumper. With the coiled hose, I can pretty much reach anywhere on the truck or 5ver. Only issue is that after you have used it, DO NOT touch the hose quick disconnect on the pump for a couple of minutes. It gets pretty hot.
